Ivy Fernandez

Ivy has over three decades of experience in the field of human resources. She has held senior management positions in large and medium-sized organizations. She was heading HR as Vice President of a 100% export-oriented pharmaceutical company. Prior to that, she was General Manager and Head (HR & Admin) of the J.M. Baxi Group Company and as a Dy. General Manager (HR) of the ESSAR Group Company.
She has industry exposure to manufacturing, services, shipping, oil & gas, offshore services, and pharmaceuticals.
She is an HR generalist with in-depth experience handling the entire gamut of HR functions.
Her core competencies are: setting up HR strategies to accomplish business objectives; directing HR processes; evaluating company structure: talent acquisition, talent management and retention;
Undertaking change management initiatives, especially re-aligning HR plans and strategies with organizational plans;
Advising and assisting department heads in people management, including performance management and rewards;
Mentoring HR staff.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a law degree from Mumbai University, a diploma in business management from the Wellingkar Institute of Management & Research, and a postgraduate diploma in management from the B. School of Management, co-certified by the University of Indianapolis, USA.
